(A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events.
Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.)
1) Stay out of the open streets around the park. If sidewalks are crowded, move into the park.
2) Follow directions from event volunteer staff, whom you can identify by their colored vests and lanyards.
Safety marshals are wearing orange vests.
Medics are wearing red vests.
Guides are wearing purple vests.
Legal Observers are wearing yellow vests.
3) Be courteous and respectful to everyone you meet, ESPECIALLY if they are rude to you.
4) Be aware of your surroundings at all times. If you see counter demonstrators or agitators, DO NOT engage with them. Walk away, find an event staff member and let them know.
5) During the march, there will be safety marshals stationed along the route to direct the march, and others moving with the march. Follow their directions. Water wagons will be accompanying the march if you need to hydrate.
6) At the end of the event, please leave the area in an orderly manner, in pairs or small groups. Remember not to engage with agitators.
